Key Responsibilities of an ICU Nurse:

Patient Care and Assessment:

• Direct patient care: Providing hands-on care, such as wound care, hygiene assistance, and assisting with mobility.
• Vital sign monitoring: Measuring and recording vital signs like temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Medication administration: Administering prescribed medications, both orally and intravenously.
• Patient assessment: Gathering information about a patient’s condition, including medical history, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
• Pain management: Assessing and managing patient pain through various methods, including medication and comfort measures.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaboration with other healthcare professionals: Working with doctors, other nurses, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Patient and family education: Providing information about health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques to patients and their families.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Other Responsibilities:

• Equipment operation: Assisting with the operation of medical equipment and procedures.
• Supervision: May supervise junior staff, nursing students, or other support staff.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment: Ensuring patient areas are clean, safe, and well-equipped
